Aldous Huxley is best known for his novels, particularly Brave New World, which is an ironic look at a future utopia. Huxley argues that only in imperfect societies can people sustain progress.

Huxley was born into a family of distinguished scientists, and had wanted a career in medicine. He was educated at Eton College and the University of Oxford, but immigrated to the United States in 1937.
